Environmental Concerns Organization, Inc. (ECO)

ECO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that focuses its efforts on the promotion of environmental stewardship and sustainable community development projects. This goal is achieved through environmental education programs to schools & businesses, the operation of a rural recycling center, the restoration of a critically threatened riparian wildlife habitat area, and the development and promotion of environmentally-conscious products. In addition, ECO employs "youth at risk" through community service.

Environmental Concerns Organization, Inc. was established in 1996. Since that time, ECO has created the three d.b.a. organizations described below: The Recycling Association of Maricopa, ECO Restoration Society, and ECO One Earth Products.

The Recycling Association of Maricopa (RAM)

RAM is a rural, solid waste Recycling Facility in the City of Maricopa. RAM accepts more household recyclable commodities than any other collection facility in the state of Arizona. Through RAM, ECO provides environmental education programs to schools and organizations throughout the state. ECO has received numerous grant awards for their efforts over the past several years. In recognition of their environmental stewardship, ECO also received the Governor's Pride Award two years in a row for this recycling program.

ECO Restoration Society (ERS)

ERS was established to assist in the clean-up and restoration of a critically-threatened riparian wildlife habitat area. Since it's inception, ERS has sponsored clean-up events that have cleared hundreds of thousands of pounds of household waste and tires from neighboring deserts surrounding the City of Maricopa - the majority of which ECO recycled. ECO received the Harrah's Constellation of the Stars Award at the 1999 Pinal County Town Hall for their environmental stewardship.

ECO One Earth Products - "Products for a Sustainable Future"

ECO One Earth Products was created to stimulate economic development through the marketing of environmentally-conscious products. ECO One Earth Products are made exclusively from post-consumer materials. ECO's diverse product line includes hundreds of unique and beautiful creations. In order for recycling to work, we must buy merchandise made from recycled content. In other words, if you are not buying recycled, you are not really recycling.
